Very good advice, Xavia. Drinking water, eating vegetables and walking whenever you can will go along way to helping you feel as good as you can. The better you feel, the better you will do.

An important tip is to eat right and to exercise. In college it is easy to form bad eating habits which can be harmful to our health. We need to be sure to make healthy eating choices and to get some type of physical activity in almost daily. This physical activity can be going to the gym or even something as simple and easy as going for a walk.

Yes, yes and yes! I advocate an electronic calendar as well so you can receive alerts about where you should be when. It's easy to get overwhelmed when you start a new routine. Electronic alerts will help.

A tip to help manage time, as well as stress, is to use a planner to help you keep track of all your work. At the beginning of the semester, after you receive your syllabus from all your courses you should take some time to sit and write down all of the due dates of assignments, tests, readings, etc.

Although it is important to go out and be involved, it is more important to not overwhelm yourself, especially your first year of college. You should go out and find things that you like and that interest you and join a club or maybe two but not so many that you are struggling to find time for important stuff like your homework or time for yourself. By being sure not to overload your plate, you will be more likely to not be too stressed out

A tip to getting more involved in the university is to follow the school's social media pages on twitter, instagram, snapchat, and possibly other social medias. Utsa has many pages to help you stay involved like a student activity page, an inclusion page, a future roadrunner page, and several more.

A tip to help adjusting easier is to create a routine to do everyday. Once you start doing things repeatedly you begin to form habits. So you should try to create positive habits like study habits, or work habits. For example, you could make going over your notes or looking over your textbook every night or every other night for thirty minutes before you go to bed a regular thing so that it becomes a routine.
